Why does my circuit breaker keep tripping?
What’s likely going on
A breaker trips on purpose — it's protecting the circuit from drawing more power than it's rated for. If it trips once when you plug in a space heater alongside other things, that's just an overloaded circuit. If it trips repeatedly with nothing unusual plugged in, that points to a real wiring issue.
Is this a DIY job or worth calling someone?
Resetting it once and watching what triggers it again is reasonable. A breaker that trips repeatedly without an obvious overload, or one that feels hot to the touch, is a real signal to have someone check the wiring rather than keep resetting it.
